community hospitals rain harvesting program
New Foundations has been comminsioned to install rain harvesting systems in seven
cottage hospitals setup by a large multi-national. This project will allow us to provide several free smaller systems to more remote communities where there is currently no clean drinking
water. January 2006

Each installation will supply 20,000L of clean water. The entire system for each hospital is designed and built in Warri before shipment.

The cottage hospitals are remote so the system has to simple, effective and easy to install and maintain. |

The whole system is modular and on completion the staff are instructed how to clean and maintain the filters and tanks.
The success of the system is dependent upon good upkeep and regular inspection.
On either side of the group stand 2 x 5000L tanks providing clean drinking water to patients who so often present at the clinics through waterborne disease and diarrhoeal illnesses.
How can we construct a system for ourselves?
