vaccination camps Okoloba and Okuama
As the drier winds of the Harmattan season begins, Measles and respiratory infections become major killers in the Delta. Our Nutritional survey demonstrated that almost 90% of children had not received full vaccination in-line with WHO guidelines.
Children up to 5 years are most at risk and were recorded at both camps, the first at Okuama Primary School and at the community Hall Okoloba
600 children were vaccinated across the two sites against measles,
Vitamin A, Iron and Paracetamol also given.
50+ pregnant women were vaccinated against diptheria and tetanus
Iron, folic acid, and paracetamol issued.
We have appointed a new midwife who at future camps will provide antenatal classes.
